New to  Lifetime Lab are our  Composting Demonstration areas.Developed as a partnership between the EPA Stop Food Waste Programme and Cork City Council these composting areas aim to show people how different composting systems work. There are many different types of composting systems (e.g. Tumblers, Piles, Worms, Green Cone, Pallet bin, etc.) and figuring out which one is best for you, and how to use it properly, can be difficult.

Lifetime Lab now actively uses 6 different composting systems around the site for different types of organic wastes. So if you'd like to learn more about composting and see these composters in action pop in and we'll show you around.We will also be updating our compost page with images and figures of the cost savings through onsite composting.
