Lifetime Lab was delighted to welcome Sustainable Energy Ireland over three days from May 20th – 22nd 2008.
Two expert facilitators ran workshops aimed at pupils from 3rd to 6th class. Beginning with a short presentation, aided with 3 colourful display panels the workshops covered the topics of energy sources, climate change, CO2 and what we as individuals can do to reduce the amount of energy we use. This was followed by some fun energy experiments. For example, did you know you can make a battery out of a lemon? After that, students played Guzzler's Energy Challenge, where the aim of the game is to collect as many energy points as possible - and avoid the dreaded Sin Bin!
Guzzler, S.E.I. and Lifetime Lab would like to thank the pupils of the following schools for participating-
