Lifetime Lab is hosting a display of prize winning projects by Cork entrants to the BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition 2008 from Monday 4th to Friday 22nd February 2008

Lord Mayor of Cork Cllr. Donal Counihan officially launched the display on Friday 1st February. Participating students set up their project posters for display and were on hand to speak to invited guests about their projects. The students also attended an exciting Chemistry Magic Show staged by Dr Declan Kennedy of the Department of Education, UCC.

The students’ project posters will be on display in the Lifetime Lab Visitor Centre where members of the public will be able to view the students work, as well as digital video clips of the students talking about their projects.

The idea is to recognise the work of students and their teachers, who have represented Cork at national level, and to give interested members of the public an opportunity to view some of the projects in their local area. For aspiring young scientists who have not had the opportunity to visit the Exhibition at the RDS in Dublin this is an ideal opportunity get a taste for what it is all about.
