Cork hurler Dónal Og Cusack visits Lifetime Lab

Cork Hurler and Electrical Engineer Donal Óg Cusack, an employee of DePuy Ireland, Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork joined 4th class students from Whitechurch National School on Monday morning to carry out Science activities at Lifetime Lab, Cork.

Donal Óg was put through his paces by the young scientists from Whitechurch, who were taking part in one of Lifetime Lab Science workshops, which have been on offer to Primary Schools since September.

De Puy Ireland are sponsoring an initiative to subsidise transport from schools to Cork City Council’s Lifetime Lab on the Lee Road, where students have the opportunity to undertake a series of tutorials and practical assignments relating to Science.

Dónal Óg had to prove he knew his stuff as he took part in an interactive quiz on electricity with Whitechurch National School using Lifetime Labs interactive whiteboard and voting pods.

Dónal Óg spoke briefly to the children about his job as an electrical engineer at Du Puy and his sporting activities and answered some excellent questions from the Whitechurch school children.
