SMILE Network

The idea behind the SMILE network is that one business’s waste or unused resource could become another business’s raw material resulting in a mutually beneficial relationship which saves both operating or disposal costs and procurement costs. The SMILE network aims to save businesses money by developing a network of businesses that reuse each others surplus products, by-products and reusable items and share services, space and logistics.  The concept is not limited to reusable items, by-products or surplus but can also be applied to logistics, services or skill share. Examples of items and products which may be on offer are plastics, timber, cardboard, paper, pallets, warehouse or office space etc.

The SMILE network will host its first event at Oriel House, Ballincollig on March 25th. Funded by South Cork Enterprise Board the vent if free of charge and open to business from all sectors.
