Engineers Week 2011

The Countdown is on...

Engineers Week 2011 promises to be jammed packed with interactive events for all ages. Participants can book events from 14th December through the official website. Don't miss out on your chance to have your event profiled - Submit your event today!

National Engineer Volunteer Day will take place on Thursday 17th February, 2011.

Engineers Ireland is calling all engineers to visit schools as on 17th February,  during Engineers Week, to promote maths and engineering. Register here to receive a pack for your primary or post-primary school visit!

Spot the Engineers Week Bus....from Jan 17th

This year, STEPS will be coordinating Engineers Week launches in certain locations across Ireland from 17th January.  The aim of the launch event is to create awareness about the events that will be taking place in the area during Engineers Week and to highlight organisations invovled.

The double decker bus will be visiting locations around Ireland, come along to visit in Cork on January 24th on Patrick Street from 8.00am

Photo Competition..

Get your camera or your mobile phone out and capture an engineering image which represent`s the future. Take inspiration from inventions which signal how engineering is moving our economy, culture and surroundings. The competition will run from 17th December - 7th February and has three prize categories; 8-14 years, 15-18 years and 18+.

So get snapping to be in with your chance to win lots of great prizes including an Apple iPad and an Xbox Kinect.
