All young budding engineers and architects are invited to participate in ‘‘Design a Public Park, Art Competition. 

Interested students are invited to draw a plan for the proposed c.160 acre public park on the old landfill site or ‘Cork City Dump’ on the Kinsale Road.“Design a Public Park” offers students an opportunity to present ideas of how public spaces may look from a user point of view and will be viewed by the engineer responsible for drafting the new design.

The competition is run in association with ‘Meet the Engineer’s” Lifetime Lab Free Family Fun Day to celebrate Engineer’s Week 2012.There are several age groups, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12 and Junior Certificate and Leaving Certificate for secondary school students.

Entry is free of charge with prizes awarded for best design, best drawing and best concept.Winners will be announched during the afternoon of March 3rd at Lifetime Lab.
