Anyone 4 Science Summer Camp
Key Event Information
This summers' activities revolve around the themes of states of matter, viscosity, solar energy, light and sound, forensics and rocket science. Anyone 4 Science offer age appropriate experiments on those themes with one topic usually being taken each day.
Anyone 4 Science Summer Camp Early Bird available until 05/06/2017 **
The children are going to learn about the changing states of matter, immiscible liquids and emulsions. They are going to investigate solar energy for cooking and heating and other experiments and activities. For the biology theme we will learn about the eye and sight through various fun activities. Children will also learn about the lungs and the respiratory system as well as the heart and the circulatory system and will become forensic scientists for a day and investigate a whodunnit crime using fun CSI experimental materials including as usual vinegar and bread soda. We will learn about acids and bases while the older children will also extract DNA from fruit. The week will end with a blast with fun rocket science.
There are two July Camps available
A typical Anyone 4 Science day is as follows:
- 10.00 - 10.15 introduction and review of previous day’s experiments
- 10.15 – 11.15 experiments
- 11.15 - 11.30 break – supervised and outside if possible
- 11.30 – 12.30 experiments
- 12.30 – 13.00 lunch break – supervised and outside if possible
- 13.00 – 14.00 experiments
